The city that never sleeps... and Thanksgiving break!

Again, it's been a while since my last update, but let me take it from last Thursday, which was interesting. Acting class was interesting... nobody really wanted to do their scene, so we just kinda got a telling-off from Elizabeth (our prof), and took our quiz. Failed it. Then, some stuff probably happened, and then there was choir practice. Not much there, I don't even remember what we did, but we are getting close to our concert, so major rehearsing is going down. Then, after my normal quick dinner, I went to Gospel Choir. Rehearsal was funny, as usual... we were doing "Victory," the song where I share a solo with Ellen, and I kept forgetting the words! It was terrible, but I laugh when I look back on it. Won't happen again, that's for sure. We also learned about our upcoming gig with this jazz band, and apparently, it's this big concert thing at Westminster H.S. that always sells out. Should be exciting... Then, of course, CCM and whatnot, and that's my Thursday.

Friday, classes weren't anything special. After class, I washed Brittany's dishes, and then later that evening, we had ourselves a "date": dinner (in glar), and a show (seeing Urinetown on campus). How romantic, LOL. But the show was actually really good; I enjoyed it much, and realized how much I miss being in a show. That will have to change soon. Then, it was a crazy night of karaoke and laundry and finding lost keys (not my own) before heading to bed because I had to get up early. Why?

Because I went to New York City!!! For $30, I got to go to NYC and see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. I had the time of my life, especially since I had never been there before. But basically, everything we did was great, from walking in Central Park, to riding the carousel there, to Times Square, to getting lost on the Subway, to eating in an Irish pub, and, of course, the show was amazing. Really got me in the Christmas spirit! I was tired when I got back to my room at 3:45 in the morning, but it was well worth it.

From there, the week just kinda slid into break. Sunday, I helped to work the open house, since I am going to be a tour guide, then took the day off work at the call center to do work, which didn't work since I was tired. Had Thanksgiving dinner with CCM and the IVCF, and went to mass. Pulled an all-nighter to try and finish work, which wasn't a good idea, since on Monday, I slept through my two morning classes... =/ I was a mess that day, but I still got up and did my inclass essay in French class, which wasn't too great, admittedly. Then, still on Monday, Gayle came to visit! I got to show her around, and even go to French Club with her, which was fun, since I normally work on Monday nights (we have stopped calling for the semester). Then, when she left, I ended up taking a longer nap than anticipated, but woke up to a Rouzer fire drill of sorts, and did some work before passing out again.

Tuesday, we were all just waiting to go home, aside from people who had already gone home. I had to do my scene with Nomi in Acting class, which was... well, at least we know that we have a lot of work cut out for us, LOL. But, then I finally got to pack up everything I was taking with me, and go home. Lucky for me, MJ lives close to me, so she brought me home, which was great. Got home, ate a real dinner, which was good, and went and got my haircut, which I had been needing for a while. Oh, and I ate more food, because I was forced to eat pupusas. Forced? I mean, I enjoyed every bite. =) Then I got home and slept, LOL.

Wednesday, I had to actually get up from bed because the passport pics I took in Westminster weren't good enough, so I had to go down to Rockville in the rain and retake my pics at a better place and give them to my mom. But, then I had a Potbelly's lunch with her, and spent the rest of the afternoon with her at work. It was a generally chill day, so it was fun.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving! I lounged around the house for a long time, then had dinner at my aunt's house with family and family friends. I ate a lot, of course, and I had a fun time with my cousins. I miss them a lot, but it's good to know that we all, as a family, still share a closeness. My family is definitely one of the things I am thankful for in my life, and it's good to have people that still love me back home. =)

Today, I got up and went to the mall for lunch and bubble tea with Ruth, which was some good times! Not only did I get to have McDonald's and bubble tea after a long time of not having either, but I got to see a LOT of people I hadn't seen in so long, randomly at the mall. And I also decided that I want an iPod nano, in blue. LOL, but besides that, I enjoyed spending quality time with a good friend, and I like knowing that there are still people that I can see back home. Thankful for my friends? Definitely.

Now, I'm gonna end this entry because it's getting TOO long, and my grandma is makin pupusas and it's makin me hungry! But I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and that everyone enjoys the rest of their break. God Bless!
