Hey everyone, guess what time it is? OK, well, it doesn't matter, the point is that it is late at night and I am procrastinating on doing homework by updating my journals, which hasn't happened in a long time. I figure, though, that I will only update on the past few days. So much happens here at McDaniel that to talk about all of it would take forever and a day (however, on that note, I will try and update more often, since my McDaniel experiences are very interesting).
The weekend was very interesting. I decided to go home for the weekend, since from phone calls from the parents, I got the sense that I was missed back home. And of course, I needed to buy things, you know. My mom picked me up, along with all my dirty laundry that I was bringing home, and I went to the mall after not having been there in so long. Got myself a bubble tea, which was nice, since I don't think there are any boba places here in Westminster. Then, I was tired so I slept until the afternoon. My dad took me to get my haircut, and after a quick shower and a bite to eat, I bought things at the mall and then I met up with some youth group people to see The Covenant. It's actually a surprisingly good movie, but the best part was seeing my good friends again. And having Taco Bell with them afterwards and the fun ride home, LOL. Sunday, I went to mass at my regular church, and it was good to see people all over again. Ate afterwards, and bought more things, and then my dad brought me back to campus, where I spent an interesting night watching The Notebook with my peer mentor and her roommate and Brad (and I realize that it is only a sappy version of 50 First Dates), and I keep Emily Biondo and random other people company in the newsroom until the wee hours. 'Twas fun. =)
Monday was tiring, of course, but I made it through the day. A math test that I could easily finish, including the extra credit, a seminar class with a discussion that quickly became interesting, and of course, my usual lunch with Amanda, joined by her roommate Jen and her boyfriend. After lunch, it was another interesting French class; I really do enjoy my French class, by the way, so much so that I may look into minoring in it, just because. After class, it's all a blur, but I know that I worked for hours on Acting homework with Courtney, put up lots of campaign fliers in the residence halls with Amy, and of course, hung out with my homegirl Lauren. I like random days such as these.
Today was... well, it was a slightly off day. I did wake up in time for breakfast, but you know me, the snooze button whore... woke up again at 10:20, when my seminar class starts! Yes, people, I overslept and missed my first college class. Luckily, it's only flex, so it wasn't completely necessary, but still, I won't be getting into that again. I got to have lunch with Courtney and Brad, and even Christinkle, which was nice. Went to the activities fair with Courtney, and then we hurriedly finished up our action score that was due for Acting class. Made it to acting, and of course, it was another interesting class, but it just really gets to me how much work I have for it. Well, after class, I chilled in my room for a bit before going to college choir rehearsal. At least I can finally understand John Rutter's "Gloria" a bit better now. Dinner was, of course, fun, and so was doing my homework in Leah's room with Laura and Mary Beth (who was awesome for French help). Then, a bit of library printing to do, and now I am here, not doing work, but updating instead.
Oh, OK, so some of you may be wondering... "campaign fliers?" Even if you weren't, let me tell you now, LOL. I am running for the position of class president. I know, it is a lot to take on, but I couldn't resist. Elections started today (Tuesday) and go on until Thursday, and competition has been heavy, and I haven't campaigned nearly as enough as my opponents, but we shall see what happens. If I win, great; if not, I still have time to do other... activities... here on campus. =) I should know by Thursday night, so I will do an update then.
Um, I think this is where I will end it, since I kinda still have to do a math project that is due for my 9:10 math class, and it's at least started... it just needs to get finished, LOL. So, everyone, enjoy your day, because it's another day that God blessed you with. Keep in touch!
and keep it fresh. =)
