The last two shows have been successes. I feel as if we have definitely stepped up our game with the show, and it shows with the energy we give onstage. Tonight, we give our final performance. To those who come, I can promise a show that will amaze you. Hopefully, our audience will be our largest yet. Not necessarily a sold-out show, but a substantial audience, nonetheless.
And as I write this, I also know that this will be my last show with Magruder drama. I gave a greenroom speech last night, and it wasn't as good as it could have been, but I hope people still understood my message. I don't know what I would have done all through high school without the memories I made with the club, the friendships I have forged... all-day dance rehearsals, late-night run throughs, playing pranks on unsuspecting cast members, cleaning and creating props, frantic food runs... I'm really going to miss it all. To any club members, past and present, thank you for being a part of some of the greatest experiences I will have in this lifetime.
Seniors, take a bow... this is our last curtain call.
My favorite year
Like no other year of my life
My favorite year
That time when I knew
It would have to be one hell of a year
For some other year
To ever come near
That frantic, impossible, glorious, painfully dear-to-me year
My favorite year...
