the after-effects of everything.

The next day, Mina makes everyone stay the hell out of her hotel room. Nobody really likes it, but nobody will argue with her--there are two or three people in the universe who will say "get some sleep, you madwoman, take care of yourself, cope instead of calculating" to Citlalmina Olin, and that's just the truth of it. She acquaints herself with the people she needs to be talking to in Mexico, but ultimately she's frustrated: she did not come here to be in another hotel. This is an aggravation.

And she still hasn't called Caius, for a lot of reasons. She supposes he'll find out when he sees her, and by then, well, she can say that it happened and she's obviously fine, judging by how she's well enough to walk around and be restless, so it's all right. He doesn't need the extra stress.

She's in shorts (dark blue, cotton, not denim) and a white halter top, bare-shouldered and not bothering to hide the bandage. The windows are open, but not the screens, and she's looking out at the swimming pool in the courtyard, frowning thoughtfully.
