During my unintentional two week hiatus from LJ, I have been marathoning through Fringe and now I am back to inundate you with it, lol.
Warning: The recording came out LOUD, so be advised to lower your volume, thanks ^_^
As I was saying, what first drew me into the show was the pairing. I found this article:
"The Worst TV Couples" and among them were Peter and Olivia. They also sited Sam and Jack from SG-1 saying that, "and the two had never expressed any romantic attachment to one another.">! :o Ok, if Sam and Jack, who are my ultimate OTP, are on this list, this must mean only one thing - that by default, I am going to love the Polivia pairing, lol.
"...the Fringe agents' initial coupling over there felt entirely rushed and premature, given Olivia never showed much interest before that moment."
This person obviously does not know how to read between the lines xD
Take that for subtlety!Well, I will admit, I was a little skeptical (and it seems so long ago) because in the beginning, Olivia was still chasing after the mysteries that John (her old partner) had left her with. But the pairing only took off at the end of S2, so this guy can't say that it was rushed.
When I have more time, I'm gonna make a "why Polivia works" post, lol. I've been slowly doing that for my other pairings too ^^
This is from 3x20: Look at Josh Jackson's smile. You can read right through his emotions. And Anna Torv is gorgeous ♥
I had actually spoiled myself before starting the show and knew that their relationship was going to be complicated with alternate universes, but I do enjoy the couple, even if the journey to their (hopefully) full relationship is rough.
And at the end of the day, I'm in it for all the characters. Walter keeps it interesting with words like "vagenda," and Peter is there to snark back at him, he's the only person who gets him most of the time. Astrid's there to provide calming and sensical support, Olivia's there to help Peter be a better man and he helps her see that there are people out there she can trust. It's a family drama, albeit a little unconventional :)
Some samplings of why I love the cast: I could seriously watch this blooper reel forever.

Oh god, John Noble and Josh act so much like father and son, it's just lovely to watch their relationship on and off-screen ♥
Comic-con Interview from 2008 to
2011 And I just found the amazingness that is the Paley Panel, which I guess is done for a variety of shows like House and Bones that occur annually and I watched a bunch of those. I love hearing about the process and the behind-the-scenes stuff!
This is after S3 and the bit I love about this clip is Anna reading a fan's tweet in Bell's voice (played by Leonard Nemoy) about how that creepy voice is ruining past fantasies xD
Nothing interesting is happening in my life apart from the crisis that is my school work and the effects of procrastination. Which was not helped by my marathoning Fringe or getting addicted to Facebook apps, Angry Birds and Tetris Battle *shakes head*
Also, imageshack decided to change its policy all of a sudden last month and said "You can only have 500 pics in this account. You have 1,100; the older ones will be deleted on March 1st." *pulls hair* So, I searched around and finally found a decent extractor of images and nearly downloaded all my images. SO, eventually, I have to go back and reupload them somewhere and 'fix' my LJ HTML, which has 404 written everywhere T_T I think I'll do this during the one-week summer break I have.
