I have been offered and accepted a new job at a great supportive and structured company with a really nice new team. I'm looking at interesting work, flexible work hours, 6 weeks holiday, beautiful central london location and a raise of £1.5K, with another raise of £2-3K in 6 months, plus an unknown bonus amount in April. In dollars roughly $43,500.
Today, the day before my last day at my current job (I have a leaving party scheduled tomorrow night), my company offered me a 30% raise (£10K) to stay and take on a senior post. Here, I have 3 days less holiday, no flexible working, the shittiest location in London, with an amazing boss, but partners who I abhor. This role is almost certainly more challenging and it's in health, not social housing (which, while interesting, is not somewhere with much career potential). In dollars, $56,000.
