~*~

The sound of Loki's voice echoed in his ears as he left the prison and the doors closed behind him. Thor glanced over his shoulder but quickly turned and headed down the corridor to the upper levels of the palace.

It's only been three months since he had bought Loki back from Midgard and for some reason he still found himself going to talk to his once-brother; sometimes Loki would even talk back, never with words Thor wanted to hear but at least it was something.

This time his mother had asked him to take something to Loki and he couldn't say 'no' to her, not when he saw what it was. A item he had not seen since he was a child. It was made of wood and was carved to look like bilsnipe, it was not a normal toy for a child but their mother had giving it to both of them to share and share it they did. It had been one of the few things that they shared and Thor was surprised that their mother still had it but he agreed to take it to Loki for her.

Along the way to Loki's cell Thor had studied the small toy; memories of when Loki and him were kids came back to him. How they would run through the palace halls, play tricks on the guards, and how to would plan to rule Asgard together; Thor as king and Loki at his side. It made him wondered when everything went wrong.

Thor had placed the toy through the shield on the ground and Loki didn't say anything he had turned to leave. He was stopped though as a 'thank you' reached his ears and he turned to find Loki standing by the shield with the toy in hand. Thor nodded and left.

He believed that those times were gone but sometimes, even if only a second, Loki would do something to make him think otherwise.
