What: Far too late birthday bash for the lovely
Where: THE Karoake Bar
When: Saturday evening
This had really been more work than it was worth. Naruto had somehow managed to clear the bar for a couple of hours for this oh-so late mini birthday bash for one of his closest friends. He really only hoped that his time would be appreciated. The thoughts of working overtime next week brought a grimace to a usually grinning face. But sacrifices were to be made in honor of keeping a promise. He really could have kicked himself for forgetting in the first place.
The last of the pink streamers were hung up on the bar and the glass case just above his head. He was careful to keep his balance when he had hung that stupid frilly paper. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if every broken glass came out of his next paycheck. The boss of the place was a real lowlife, Naruto had figured out long ago. But if he continued to charm the costumers and bring in business? Then the blond had no worries about having to check out the 'Classifides' yet again.
Not that being able to sing whenever he damn well wanted to wasn't a plus. If anything it was a perk. One of which he hoped to be sharing with his friends fairly soon.
Blue eyes scanned the wall clock then glanced back at the stage. A teleprompter was already hooked up and ready to go as always. Naruto grinned and worked a hand through his hair as he slumped back in one of the empty booths. It was almost serine when the bar was empty like this but the quiet was starting to work an annoying twitch through his body and it wasn't long before he was back up and fidgeting with the damn streamers.
Hopefully someone would be by soon to save him from simply tearing the paper to shreds.
