Easter Sunday update

We completed our celebration of both Christmas and Easter today. To satisfy the need to finish up with Christmas (I hadn't seen Jim & Donna since Thanksgiving and we still had a Christmas present to deliver to them) and also because I miss Easter Egg hunts, we crashed the Modesto Ransom Easter celebration today

What brand or recipe of salad dressing do you use?

Nutty Chinese chicken salad dressing

(from Sacramento Bee, which claims the original source is from a cookbook by Mai Pham, chef at a popular That Restaurant around here)

1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1 teasp. dried chili flakes
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1 TBSP molasses
2 TBSP honey
3 TBSP soy sauce
1/2 cup dark sesame oil

(Let cooked chicken sit in half of the salad dressing for 5 minutes before adding the rest of the salad ingredients:

2 cups sliced chicken
1 carrot, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
1/2 red onion, sliced
1/2 cup peanuts or cashews
2 TBSP cilantro
something for crunchy noodles
bell pepper
lettuce

(sorry for the delay in answering...I tried to answer directly from the email, but that didn't work!)

I had been to Ashland with my mom several years ago, also once with Chelsea's 9th grade class, then with family when passing through on summer vacation.

It's fun, but 5 hours away is a long drive just for the weekend.

Question for today: We received two Christmas presents, but do not really know who they are from. Did you give us the olive oil? Did you give us a snowman ornament?
