Need more movie soundtracks. They make excellent writing backdrops.

This one actually reminds me a lot of the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack.

So rage_goblin and I went to see Beowulf last night. On the one hand, Neil Gaiman co-wrote the screenplay, and there is very little that can be bad when Neil Gaiman is involved. On the other hand, it is Hollywood + a classic, and that usually means death.

So I totally just spent twenty minutes or so in Borders staring at the shelves in the medieval and Renaissance section. I ended up with Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Romance of Tristan and Iseult, and The Mabinogion.
