Of [spoiler-free] Pirates and Journals and stuff
So, yesterday was a good day. I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with sabrielrose, calhin, Jeremy, Melzer, and Carol. It was very shiny, and Davey Jones is tentacular (and vaugely Cthulhu-esque). This movie seemed much creepier (and more intense) than the last one was. Also, soundtrack = squee. I want it now :(
The previews were full of WTF; there was a really weird one for Transformers and one for a comedy called Accepted of which I am sure I've already seen the only good parts of the movie just from the preview, and a preview for SNAKES ON A PLANE!!!!! Which was funny, this morning, as the guys on 99.5 were talking about this story of some airline where they found 17 mice on a plane, which had been munching on cables (namely, the emergency oxygen supply masks.) The sequel clearly should be MICE ON A PLANE. Yes. *nod*
After the movie, we went to Chili's for lunch, then came home and I played Xenogears for a while. My hate for Babel Tower just cannot be expressed. Seriously, WTF. MOST ANNOYING DUNGEON EVER. Stupid bloody jumping puzzles. Ahem. Did all that, found a save point, and wandered off with Sam to the grocery store. After we came back, we watched the last episode of Boston Legal Season 1, and then the Cowboy Bebop movie, which was not nearly as boring as I recall the series being when I watched about a third of it back-to-back six years ago.
And now I am at work for the four days I'm actually here this week.

Useful note: I'm probably going to be in Ocean City Wednesday and Thursday, so the weekend/Monday will be the best days for me to see y'all, and I leave Friday morning to head back here. I'd very much like to see all of you while I'm home!
