That's all right, I'm okay, it ain't nothing but another day

Feb 13, 2006 23:49

Oh, today's been a day, all right.  Let me just start this by saying that winter is not my season for cars.  January 2004, my car's battery dies on a particularly nasty day, resulting in me having to walk about a mile in wind and snow, and catching a truly horrific cold.  January 2005, I got in a car accident.  And then there was today ( Read more... )

Damn. And people wonder why I don't drive. *hug*

The games sound like they rock. *grins*

They do in fact rock. :) Give me the chance and I'll ramble about the game and my character to no end.

*hugs* Thanks...And thank you for the card, it made me laugh.

Yeah the car thing was a little bit rough, but you do what you can. Where I work it would be far more hassle to try and handle public transportation (I would have to take a train south into the city, catch a different train and then ride that NORTH to get to work, reverse to go home which is just way too much hassle.) Besides, cars are convenient for the picking up of groceries, etc.

Go for it. *grins*

*hugs her back* You're welcome. That was the whole point behind it.

*nods* I sometimes miss driving. Usually in the middle of my work commute. *L*

hehehe, easier to explain Joscelaine when I'm not at work because a great deal of her character concept is decidedly NWS - but I would be happy to ramble about any of my RP characters at length. Probably too much length as I talk way too much. *makes a face*

Yay! You made it to work.

You talk too much? Since when?

*licks her nose and scampers off to find more coffee*

Um....since always? I never shut up apparently. My mother calls me "Mouth of the South" when she's not calling me "munchkin" and "miss Meaghan Elizabeth." (Incidentally she's quietly displeased that I refer to myself as "Meg" rather than "Meaghan" - "If I wanted you to be a Meg I'd have named you Margaret." "Mom, you did - Meaghan is a Welsh variant on Megan, which is a diminutive of Margaret." Although my aunt has now started referring to me as Meglet, which makes my mother no end of crazy. But that's ok, I love her anyway.)

See? Talking too much.

Munchkin? *grins* I like it.

Meglet is cool too. *chuckles*

Oh please. Conversation is always good. We so have to meet one of these days. No one would get a word in with the two of us yammering. *L*

Be nice to yourself already. *goes off to look at more e-cards*

This *is* me being nice to myself. You want to see me being mean to myself, look at just about anything I wrote in this journal prior to August 2005. (For the record that's about 4 years' worth of ridiculousness.) Wait, good God, is my journal actually coming up on 5 years old? That's vaguely horrifying.

Oh you poor thing. Here. Have my old cane. I've upgraded to a battery operated walker.

*ducks*

You're just fine, hon. *hug*

I had to leave the e-card site. Too many of them had your name on it. *impish grin*

lol. It's just weird to me when I think of how long I've been online - The RPG Place is coming up on its 7th birthday in June, and my LJ is somehow 5 years old, which vaguely messes with my head when you consider that I'm 23 and have now spent almost a third of my life online which is weird all on its own because I never really did anything internet-like until I was in my sophomore year of high school.

E-cards are fun. :) I so rarely send them though.

Alrighty then, Gramma. *laughs*

I've been online for over ten years so I have you beat.

Wait a minute. I was online before you were a teenager.

Where did I put that walker?

"Oh give me a home, where intelligence roams and the customers and the moronic twits don't stampede...." *singing*

*bounces off to work*

*scritches her hair*

Hmmm....why yes we did. I wonder if tickling is a good incentive to fight back?

*scritches a little harder*

*purrs at scritching*

Tickling is bad. Tickling makes Meglet curl up in a helpless squeaking knot of giggles. *nod*
