So it's been another week since I updated, oops.
I found out from my manager that while that call in which I griped at a participant was not so good, she had heard worse, so that was okie. On Wednesday I accidentally hung up on a caller--my hand slipped when I tried to put him on hold and I hit the other line button instead, which disconnected him. Sad Meglet.
In other news, I am changing my webhosting to
Lunar Pages. RPGPlace.net is currently not working, nor is my RPGPlace e-mail. Use Hotmail if you need to get in touch with me, or my SBC address if you have it. RPG Place data shall ideally be coordinated between my two computers, altered properly, and uploaded by the end of the weekend.
DCP is tonight, I am somewhat looking forward to it. Ideally some of my major concerns will be addressed before game starts, which means I can get to taking care of the concerns I am paid for.
I talked to a recruiter on Thursday, and e-mailed him my resume. See, it's not that I don't like my job. My job isn't bad and the people there are awesome. What I don't like is leaving the house at 6:45 and not getting home until 6:15 if I'm lucky and 6:35 if I'm not, only to spend the next 3.5 hours cooking, eating, trying to see friends/spend time with
shoecollar/catch up on e-mail and LJ/read or game. THen I have to go to bed by 10 to get up at 6 in order to get moving to work again. I fucking hate it. I need a closer job, or at least one that I can take the L to. 8 to 6 is a far more reasonable day than 7 to 6:30, and additionally, I can READ on the L.
Speaking of reading, I have been doing a lot of it at work. I finally finished the first three books of A Song of Ice and Fire. Holy shit, man. I have also been reading gaming books; I finished Field Guide and then read Saviours and Destroyers and about half of Houses of the Fallen. By the end of next week I anticipate I will have finished that plus the Demon fiction that I have, also Mage Storyteller's Handbook and possibly a few tradbooks.
Yeah, I'm geekish.
I also bought Lord of the Rings: the Third Age, which I have yet to play. I'll get to it.
In other gaming news, I realized the other day that I really, really, really want to play in an incredibly roleplaying intensive game, preferably Demon, where I might roll dice once or twice in the entire session and spend most of my time just doing general interaction, character decisions, etc.
Ah well.
OK, off to get some lunch and continue to talk to the mighty Blue Guy.
