Fragrant Laundry: Holy shit @ commando kitty
Fragrant Laundry: He just jumped onto the side of my chair, latched, then jumped backwards onto a pole, bounced off of it, then re-clung to the chair, and climbed up to me.
In other news, I went to Sam's JTE Storytelling thingy tonight. It was absolutely hilarious, completely worth the time and money. I really enjoyed it and shall have to remember to go back whenever possible. Then she, Eben, and I rounded up Sam S, and we hung out, and went to Giordano's, and came back and hung with Blue, and played Chez Geek. Also today, I slept until 3:45, apologized to Dana for losing my temper last night, and uh....had Chipotle for dinner. Which unsettled my stomach. :( Very little rice in my burrito so nothing to help balance the uberspiciness of my steak and salsa. I was sad.
In other news, welcome
shoecollar (Vinceypants) to the world of LJ.
Now I and my fractious muses are going to go read and go to sleep. Tomorrow I must write two papers and at least start the reading for the third. *sigh* The two papers are easy--just writing about Margaret Thatcher and stuff--then the reading/research for my Religion & Magic paper is a bitch. I'm trying to figure out precisely what I'm going to prove. I think it's that even though the "history" of Wicca is complete fucking bullshit it has no impact on the validity of the religion, because one of the major tenets is that belief can make reality or truth or whatever. The point being proven is double: first that the history of the religion is the brainchild of Gerald Gardner inspired by Margaret Murray (not hard, I've got an entire book on the subject) and second that whether or not the history is real, is completely irrelevant to the validity of the religion. Gotta research that a bit more....Must be in Silver Broomstick somewhere. Maybe even in Gardner's own work which would OWN, since he's the basis of my paper.
Anyway. I am going to finish my extremely yummy cake, and then disappear to read. Or maybe just sleep since it's 4 am. I was out until 3....it was good. We talked about gaming. And other goodness. And the extent of my rambling tells me that it's time to go!
