Well so I lost all of yesterday to a migraine, even more epically than I usually do - I woke up, realized immediately I was already too far into migraine for painkillers to work, so I squinted at my phone until I managed to compose an email, and then swallowed some Advil and lay back down. this was at 6:45. I woke up at about 11:30, dragged myself downstairs, had tea and a banana (which both made me feel nauseous), and then lay back down and woke up again at 4:30, finally not in pain. Sheesh.
In the process of lying there being desperately bored, I was thinking about existing with mental health issues, and the metaphor I came up with is: it's like playing an MMO with really buggy garbage servers. Some days you log in and all your gear is mysteriously missing; you file a ticket but it's going to take time, and meanwhile you can't do your usual content. Some days you log in and lol, here, have a debuff you can't dispel! In both cases, you can't really grind the high-tier content you're used to, but that's not, strictly speaking, your fault. You do what you can with the shitty half-broken gear that was thoughtfully left for you, and work on getting your real gear back.
It works for me, conceptually, anyway. *shrug*
Once I woke up for real yesterday, paladin and I dove into FF14 (speaking of MMOs....) We did a lot of FATE grinding together for our Yo-Kai weapons (ugh god why are there separate achievements for them I'm going to cry) and that's pretty much been today as well, though once he got his weapons he went back to the plot, so he finally has a chocobo and I can go back to shepherding him through dungeons. :D
And that's about it in Rina-land.
