What? Two fics in one month? (Yes, and three more to go for this bingo, but whatever.)
"Rain," Persona 4, Chie and Yukiko. G, 766 words. Endgame spoilers. Yukiko's shoulders still tense when it rains.

AO3 Yesterday was an adventure; paladin apparently hit a very sharp gutter and busted both tires on his bike. He was not hurt, but the bike was not usable, so I schlepped out west to pick him up. We came home from that, ordered food that took unusually long to get to us, and then did some more of Persona 4 Arena, through the rest of Yu's story and halfway through Chie's. I have to say, this "visual novel interspersed with fighting game" style is really not doing it for me. I'll persevere as long as paladin's willing to do the fighty bits for me, but I think I am not gonna play Ultimax.
In other news I gave a presentation today at work for the training we've been doing in DMAIC, which was pretty nerve-wracking. I am told I did okay except I faced one side of the room too much and not the other, which is totally fair. I get to give the same presentation tomorrow (minus "defining DMAIC") to managerial types. I've been presenting on our help desk tickets and how long it takes us to resolve them, and why--where does it sit and for how long? (This involved grotesque amounts of crawling through each ticket manually analyzing the number of days it spent somewhere, since our system can't just spit that out for me. Thus, my entire week last week.) We'll see how it goes.
Dealing with some minor family drama--we were supposed to do a week's vacation in Maine with Nana, Georgann, and my parents, on a certain week in July. Well. Come to find out that Georgann, who was orchestrating this, did not think to...check if hotels would be available in high season (She and Nana are taking the motor home, but trying to fit all of us into that small a space is pmuch a recipe for disaster, even if it is a freaking McMansion of a motor home.) So, of course, they are not, and thus the vacation has fallen apart, which nobody is very pleased with. Fortunately, paladin and I had only got as far as requesting the vacation time and hadn't bought our train tickets yet, so it's recoverably messed up, but man, I was looking forward to that time off. Though I guess I have the long weekend for the Fourth coming up, so there's that.
And that's all the miscellanea I have in my brain right now, so I'm going to go fall into Eorzea again.
