it's not October, right? Shit, it really is. WHO ALLOWED THIS.
Video Games
In September:
* Get to Zanarkand in FFX
* Finish FF6 on iOS
NEITHER. But I did beat the final boss of Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Curtain Call and also Legend of Fae, so I sort of made progress.
Year-to-date, I have bought 22 games, beaten 7 of them, beaten 7 more that I had bought prior to 2014, and removed 5 from the accounting. This means I have bought 3 more than I have beaten. I anticipate I can improve that ratio substantially over the next month now that all the life-crazy is reducing.
As far as keeping up with Moogle U....I'm really not doing that, but in my defense--wedding + house + honeymoon + moving. I'm still invested in the project, just. Time.
And lastly on the video game front, I have beaten one game out of my collection that had been acquired pre-2000. I've got three months left to get through another. It's doable.
In October:
* Beat FFX HD
* Make measurable progress on something else.
Writing
In September:
* Participate in Chocobo Races!
nnnnnnope :(
In October:
* Participate in Chocobo Races
* Write three days a week
Year-to-date, I'm a disaster. I've failed at every single one of my goals. I haven't written 50K of origfic, I am barely over that total all year, I have not finished editing the novels, and I am not posting fic. I am pretty much just writing off this year from a writing perspective (ha ha, see what I did there.)
Money
In September:
* severely restrict my budget until I know how things look with house
I actually did this pretty well!
In October:
* Save for Christmas
Year-to-date....the wedding wound up more expensive than I had budgeted for, AND THEN THERE WAS HOUSE, but I am plugging stubbornly away at it with a reasonable amount of success.
Self
In September:
* post at least two of the things lying in text files
* get my stuff packed and moved and unpacked again
* do not fall apart sobbing in the process of moving
...Two out of three! I didn't post what I wanted to, but I got packed and mostly unpacked (I have only some boxes of books, which is a quick process for which I need more bookshelves), and
wrenbow is a superstar who kept me from falling apart and is hardcore awesome with the packing.
In October:
* Post more on DW
* go back to paying attention to food and exercise
* Make efforts to be a better friend.
* Unpack the last few boxes.
Year-to-date: I've read 50 books. I was in better physical shape for a while, but I fell off that during the six months of "I don't understand time and how it applies to my life." I think I am generally being kinder to myself, though I still fall back sometimes. I've not been on Dreamwidth as much as I want to, but I'm working on it again.
