(no subject)
Well, I've severely neglected this journal, so I'll do a little update about what happened to me in 2009. For more recent news you can always check my Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/army.vet.tech
January- Helped out the Secret Service for the Presidential Inauguration.
February- Turned 21! Went to the Ottobar with Sitzes, who then PCS'ed near the end of the month :(
March- I had to go to Texas for the VTF Management Course. The course was boring, but I was in San Antonio for St. Patrick's Day, AND I was 21, AND I was there with some girls I went through training with. We had loads of fun bar-hopping, even partied at Coyote Ugly.
April- Aaron returned from his deployment! YAY!
May- Aaron got a house on base. Also, while touring D.C. with his parents I happened to spot a dog on an ASPCA Pack Run that caught my eye, a freaking Dutch Shepherd...and it was in a shelter?! I immediately dragged Aaron over to where they were so I could fill out an adoption application, because Dutch Shepherds are amazing, and very rare outside of police and military forces. My application was approved since I have experience working with working type breeds and Zodiac has been the most perfect dog ever <3
June and July I just enjoyed the summer with my wonderful man. Also had a lot of work to do since I was still acting NCO for the vet clinic.
August- I had to go to Texas again, this time for the Clinical Proficiency Course which was AWESOME! Then, when I got back from the course, Aaron proposed!!! Which was great since I was getting impatient, lol.
September- Aaron and I went to Maine for a couple of weeks so Aaron could meet my mom and so I could show him how beautiful Maine is. I got him to agree to moving there with me when we retire, Yay!
October- Around October I started having some issues with back pain that have only gotten worse since then. We decorated the house all nice for Halloween, then Halloween evening we went to a Dethklok/Mastodon concert and it was totally metal |,,|
November- I became Mrs. Aaron Thomas on November 14th. The wedding was wonderful, Sitzes came out to be my Maid of Honor which was so great, Aaron's dad paid for us to stay in a nice hotel room, and it was all around a wonderful day. For pictures you can go to my Facebook page.
December- Aaron, Zodiac and I spent Christmas in St. Louis with my in-laws. It was so much fun that I got really sad when we had to return to Maryland.
So that's what happened in 2009. Eventually I will post an update on here about what's been happening in 2010.
