I need to sever my umbilical cord to this computer, Hal (my Computer) I love you, but I think we need to see other machinery. I'm trying not to be discouraged to make an effort with this journal by the fact that i get booted off line every 10 min. I think it's time to get cable or Dsl, the shit is just expensive, but that is way besides the point.
Just watched the local news and suddenly found myself just...i don't know, fucking annoyed and even a little embarrassed. The top story for 15 min was sports, and the fucking eagles, who I don't give two shits about (alright, I really do, but am feeling indignant dammit). 20 min into the report they show a story of how a local high school was in police lock down today because of threats of shootings, a la columbine high school, meanwhile our mayor is under investigation for corruption and embezzlement but our local media continues to placate it's viewers a bunch of drunk frat boys screaming "fly eagles fly". I don't know, maybe that's what the viewers really want, I mean who wants to see the gloom and doom shit all the time, but it's just not going away, I mean we all know there is something really wrong with our happy little town. then again, perhaps we are just complacent with our apathy, and perhaps it is true that the people deserve the government they get, corrupt and floating out it's terms on the short bus :(. Think I am on some soap box about the apathy and fucked priorities, I assure you all I am not. It's disheartening when I volunteer for every election, and know that in my ward there are 2000 people registered to vote but maybe only 200 will show up(pipes in Marvin gaye-what's goin on). Locally, I get tired of the clinched fucking diatribe of well, we're the ghetto, so it's not like anyone is paying any attention to us anyways, and we never get shit too anyways. Meh, perhaps, except I don't live in a ghetto, just around too many who live in a ghetto state of mind. There really IS a difference. Don't we want better for ourselves? Don't we deserve better? But then again, why can't we have a team that doesn't fail every fucking time?!?!?!?!
Am currently feeling slightly bored, but am relieved that RBFE has not called as expected (?).It's really for the best as some scenarios are always flawed, no matter how much you try to clean it up. meh, perhaps I am finally t realizing that I should avoid loose loose situations. I swear it's not a gamine act, just feel(fear?, know?) it's a door I need to close now.
