I've been sucked into the Plurk = Not updating DW trap, except I haven't been even checking my list, so, uh. Oops. I'm sorry for being such a terrible friend, guys.
I'm trying to pull together what happened to me since I last updated in late March, but my memory is a fail thing of fail, so my typical disjointedness applies here.
- Courtesy of
zombielab5, I've begun playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. For those of you who don't know, Amnesia is a pants shittingly scary horror game. I am, at my bravest, a chicken wuss who cries easily and clings onto people in fear. I've been livingstreaming it with questionable success on Sunday nights, EST. - During the second of half of last semester, Pitt got bomb threats just about every day. A lot of students' schedules were messed up, dorms got threats at four in the morning, inconveniencing and dislocating a lot of people, and basically fucked up the campus. The bomb threats totaled over 100. There was no bomb. People are dickheads.
- Anime I'm currently watching: Tsuritama and Bodacious Space Pirates. Contrary to what the title says, Bodacious Space Pirates is absolutely amazing. Here's a series with a bunch of high school girls, in space, wearing miniskirts, yet not a single panty shot to be found. The main character grows, learns, and becomes strong with plenty of help, but none of it's forced or shoved in her face. She's the captain of a pirate ship, and her second in command is the FEMALE MEDIC. At points, her school yacht club-composed of entirely high school girls-takes charge and does things by themselves, and succeeds at them even after messing up. It's curiously and refreshingly empowering in ways, and the pace is slow and the worldbuilding excellent. I love it to death, and wish it didn't have such a terrible name, because HOLY SHIT.
Also there are canon lesbians, and they don't shy away from the kissing. - RP-wise, I'm playing Wako from Star Driver in
enrichment_center. The downside of that is that I feel like I've become less active in
cfud than I was before, which is impressive considering how not-active I was there before. The new game is tons of fun, though, and I love my castmates to death. Uhuhu, threesomes. - I've been experimenting and cooking different things, such as ACTUAL CREPES THAT LOOK AND TASTE LIKE CREPES HOT DAMN, tamagoyaki, okonomiyaki, and probably something else that I'm forgetting.
- Since it's summer, I've been doing things with my roommates, the ever lovely
zombielab5,
tea_destroyer, and
brevityiswise.
linkhs, our roommate in spirit, has been tagging along as well. Recent events included a barbecue and a trip to the amusement park in Pittsburgh. Monday's brother is also staying with us in the summer, so there's been no shortage of excitement. People! - Speaking of excitement, Monday's bro went out one afternoon, but didn't return for a long, long time. Around midnight, I started worrying because I didn't know where he went, and no one had his new phone number. I was worried that he had gone missing, but he ended up showing up at around one-something in the middle of the night, then ducked back out when I threatened him for another hour. Turns out he was with his dad. I beat him up in the morning, and changed the wifi password and name. Our wifi network is now known as "[Monday's brother] is a butt".
- I've known for a while that I hadn't done a lot of things that most people have in their childhood, so a lot of firsts have occurred for me so far this summer. It's nice to do things, and I really appreciate all my friends for sticking with me, even when I'm being a brat. I mean, I had friends in high school, and I appreciate what they did, but...it's different now. IDK. I feel less alone, less lonely. I feel like I'm not isolated anymore, and I like it.
- Overall, I've been pretty good. A recent bout of stress and anxiety came from my mom, but... I'm used to her. I've dealt with her my entire life, and as much as I love her, she can be suffocating. I just have to get used to it again.
Finally, have some
