Spring break has started for those who are going to classes (Not me, in other words), which meant that Tea House was canceled tonight. To make up for it, we invited
linkhs over to the apartment. We also planned to cook dinner with each person chipping in some ingredients, so that by the time
tea_destroyer came back, she'd have a nice homemade meal waiting for her.
We ended up making vegetarian lasagna since
linkhs couldn't have meat on Fridays for Lent. It was my first time making lasagna ever, and it turned out amazing! I did burn myself a few times, but they were just minor things. Me pouring boiling water on my finger instead of in the teapot was not so minor, but the finger's stopped twitching and mostly stopped hurting now.
Monday and I talked about plans for what to do for the evening, but we ended up loafing around, watching Let's Plays, and eating Girl Scout cookies. It was my first time trying them, and I wanted to support them for standing up and supporting trans youth. I may be a little hooked on Samoas now. Coconut!
I think that pretty much blew the last of the bad mood I was in away. Good food is nice, but good friends are even better. Before we left to buy ingredients, I had a moment where I realized that I had plans on a Friday night. Plans that involved doing something fun with people I cared about and whom cared about me. It was a moment of "WOAH" at the realization that I've got really amazing friends who don't put up with me because they have to or forced to, but they spend time with me because they actually like me. It was a bit mind blowing, and I had to give them hugs.
I'm happy. It feels nice to be happy again.
