[mom] Russia makes warm winter clothing
My mom has this habit of spending money on things that no one really needs, but she buys anyway because she finds them adorable/cool/unique/whatever. I have no idea what she did in China, but apparently she either went to Russia without me or went near the border, because I just received a care package full of stuff that she claims was difficult to buy because she can't haggle efficiently with Russians because she forgot all of her Russian.
Everything is really, really warm. I am so incredibly grateful for her right now, guys. You don't even know.
Among the loot is a pair of sexy red fingerless gloves that, despite being fingerless, are really warm where they do cover; a pair of really warm long underwear (that is, sadly, too bulky to fit under my regular pants); a matching hat and scarf set that is FUCKING AMAZING (I need to take pictures of it or something); NEW BOOTS; two pairs of super warm socks; a sweater; THE PINKEST, FLUFFIEST EARMUFFS EVER; and a red shawl-like thing that I can't figure out how to wear or what it really even may be. Oh, and there's some other stuff in there as well, like pajamas, more socks, and t-shirts, but those were bought in Guangzhou.
