the Best of series
I started my best of series at the other journal, where I have been posting on "the best of" whichever place I was at my last trip. I did this because people keep asking what was the best place I found and really, there wasn't any, everything was great in its own way.
I said to myself when I was about 24 or 25 that I would visit every continent in the world (not including Antarctica!) before I was 30. About this year I decided that whoops, we're running out of time so I slightly cheated by hitting Morocco and therefore hitting Africa in February and then I said to myself I would go to Peru next year. But things happen, as you know, and I ended up getting the opportunity to go this year, so off I went. So I am very proud of myself for being able to hit that goal. Also to see Machu Picchu. That place has been my dream since I was about 10 or something!
Anyway, here is the first of the series, Best of the Americas, so to speak. You can find it here at the travel journal. I also made a scrapbook that y'all can check out, I plan to bring it to the tea party since I haven't seen a lot of people and they will probably ask about it.
Also Sydney friends, if you guys are free, you can come over to the house after and we can do some drinking. There is space if you need to stay over on the 3rd.
