(no subject)
Last few months have been busy. I completed and passed my PGCE, I am now a qualified Teacher of Art and Design... still not feeling it as my calling in life but is giid as a creative(ish) bill paying job(!) The meeting with Fused went well have been added to their list of Photographers who are sent available jobs, interview at Small Heath School was also successful and I will teach there on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in Sept.
I am so glad of the holidays it seems I can do nothing but sleep… sleep is good!!! Sammi, Jules and I went to the Paula Rego and the Modern Art exhibitions in town; both were interesting and had some great pieces. I finally got my Digital SLR so am now the proud owner of a Canon D400 and a 55-200 zoom lens (yay) cost a pretty penny but is already paying off. Had some freelance work on Friday taking pictures of Ska Cubano performing at the Mac and I was there again today taking pictures for next years educational arts programme brochure.
I have been furiously reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in between sleeping and picture taking… Loved it! Saw Goblet of Fire with Mum and Yo a few weeks ago but went again with Sammi and Miyah to see it at the IMAX on Sunday... I love 3D, so good! So all is well (or as well as it's going to be), bit odd knowing I will only have 2 days of guaranteed work in Sept but I aim to continue freelance work (try to get loads more) and see how it goes.
Am off to Italy on Tuesday (I have the cutest Roxy case is all orange and brown with big flowers!!) Hopefully my new camera will be getting snap happy and i’ll have some fantastic images when I return! Sunshine!!!
