Canada's members of parliament are going back to work this week andt the first issue they plan to discuss is how to keep the Prime Minister from proroguing parliament on a whim again. Yay! I'm a bit peeved that the massive turnout at the anti-prorogation rallies didn't persuade them to make this happen a little sooner, but still, yay!
In other news, I'm might be going a little mad, thanks again to one Lord Alfred Tennyson. I'm writing an essay about his treatment of female sexual agency in
The Lady of Shalott. It's actually a lot of fun, even if it's making me see sexual references in everything Tennyson writes.
It's always about sex and cannons with you, isn't it, Lord Alfred Tennyson?
