It started snowing on the Sunday afternoon, and the pistes lost visibility seriously quickly. The snow continued all night and all Monday but we headed back, to get the new snow, but at altitude the visibility was . . . well, it wasn't :-o
Apart from occasional lift pylons looming up as slightly-darker shadows (and possible shapes that the brain dreamed up as the visual cortex got desperate for something to happen), the falling snow was it; definitely "Closer and closer or is there at all?"
I'm not sure, but this may be Monte Viso, which we'd previously seen from Turin.
I was looking at the 'edge' in that ridge of snow, thinking, that's going to be an avalanche.
Micro avalanches
Ridiculously long red run that RW suggested I do, on the last day, so I ached something dire carrying luggage on the way home.
