A bit of an up and down day, today.

I filled out an application at President Tuxedo on Wednesday, and, after making me sit around for an hour until the mall closed, I was told they'd call me to schedule and interview, and they haven't.

That alternative ed. school still hasn't called back, even though they swore they would. I can't afford to take the GED right now, I'm jobless. Oh, and no one will hire me because I don't have my GED. Damnit.

I guess it's my fault, but it sucks trying to right all the dumb mistakes I made, and getting nowhere at it.

I got on myspace last night, to a flurry of angry messages from one of my friends, about Dagorhir drama, and how sick she is hearing about other people and 'who did this who did that.' I was a little upset. I sent her a message about a month ago, I had completely forgotten the subject; it was old news. So I just sent her an apology and signed off. I later got back online and messaged her, asking about otherworld friendly stuff that, unfortunately, needs to be addressed, and got no response. I really don't want this friendship to fall through, but I don't think I can do any more than that. *sigh*

But tonight was fairly decent. Went out to En Japanese for Cross's birthday. Ate some tempura and teriyaki chicken, and then went and played laser tag. Fun games, I sucked bad though. Afterwards Cross and Haddix were planning on hitting the 'Stube, and I had heard they weren't carding, so I walked up with them, but there were two bouncers outside. I decided not to play any shenanigans, and just had C and H go get Haldour so we could go home.

We went by my mom's house before leaving Toledo, and I got to talk to my sisters and my mom for a bit. :) Apparently Gretchen's insisting on getting a new violin, and they're going to give me her current one!! I'm excited. She's also going to give me a bow and the case (and hopefully some rosin, though I suppose I can just go pick some up), and she's gonna teach me the basic care stuff so I don't fuck it up. It's a little beat up, cosmetically; it has some chips in the wood, but it sounds perfectly fine for a beginner's instrument and all it needs is a new bridge. She's also going to give me her old method books so I can start teaching myself how to play it, and, once I have a job and some money, I'm going to look into finding fiddle instructors around here. Yay!

I have a headache, so I'm going to go to bed. Later.

japanese food, gretchen, birthdays, laser tag, violin, allison, fiddle, cross, mom, bier stube
