Life - Bloody Hell
What would appear to be that it is now the middle of November and I am not really sure how I got here from the middle of August and I am completely brassic. On slightly further reflection since the middle of August the following has happened:
Redecorated the house - big thanks to DrSneaky aka Gordon for his help
Recarpetd the house
Moved House - huge thanks to littlemisscowboy and Bruce sans LJ for van loading, van driving and van unloading
Returned to my house to remove the carpet that the b*stard carpet suppliers left in my conservatory as apparently 'remove' doesn't mean from the house, merely from the floor it was originally on. When this involves a round trip of 500 miles this is no small task and a hell of a lot more expensive than it should have been.
Had to replace the shower in old house, one week after tennent moved in
Had to have gas fire repaired and rebuilt one week after tennent moved in
Attend Maelstrom - big mistake on my part, I should have listened to my body when it told me that I was exhausted, but I didn't. Consequently I didn't enjoy it nor handle some stuff very well - oh well.
Been sick as a dog for a week with nasty lergy.
Lost a much beloved cat - canvassed the area, but huge thanks here to smoking_boot who did the vast majority of the leg work.
Suffered a double flat tire on the car - damn expensive
Moved job
Suffered major plumbing issue with regards to toilet, 3 plumbers, four hours, not good......
Had much beloved, but very injured cat returned five weeks later, leading to multiple vet trips and considerable expense - go pet insurance!
Worked on ten projects, delivering multiple millions of pounds of benefits at work
And all that in ten weeks.
So my apologies to all friends to whom I appear to have disappeared off the face of the planet - normal service is now returning and I will hopefully be back in the land of the living, albeit skint and with only 1/2 a days holiday to get me through until the end of March 09.....
Oh yes, and gained two incredibly sweet kittens, so now we have four cats which was never part of the plan and yet is not something that I can be sorry about! Truly pussy whipped!
