I watched you while you were sleeping
Just a brief check in, as I am drowning in work to ensure I can go to San Diego without the crushing guilt of unfinished work-business. DROWNING. ;___;
1) Comicon! CANNOT WAIT. Correspondence might be a bit delayed in the next few days (no smartphone yet; I'm coming for you, iphone baby, just give me another week or two) but I'll do my best to keep up. :) Please, let the weather in Cali be gorgeous!!
2) OMG OMG There will be a new Sailor Moon anime coming out next year! ♥ Sailor Moon was the first anime I ever watched when I was 11 years old, and it had a major impact on my hobbies and my love of kickass ladies (and also introduced me to fanfic). I really don't have time for anime these days, but for Sailor Moon? I might have to make an exception.

4) WIP Recs - I don't normally rec WIPs but some of these are fantastic. So if you don't mind reading WIPs, here are a few that I am eagerly following:
a) sweet on the tip of my tongue by coffeebuddha (Avengers, Bruce/Darcy) - Across the street from SHIELD headquarters, there's a small, easily overlooked bakery that's been quietly chugging along for over three quarters of a century. Or, the one where Darcy takes over her grandmother's bakery instead of becoming Jane's research assistant. Bakery!AU featuring Darcy, what more do you need? This is sweet and funny and really lovely so far. The pairing is Bruce/Darcy but it's really a Darcy-centric story. :)
b) Culture and other balls of twine by lithiumdoll (Avengers, team!fic) - Or the one where they go on a sightseeing roadtrip. Hilarious and fun!
c) she blinded me with political science by thingswithteeth (Avengers, Bruce/Darcy) - Darcy watches the Avengers defend New York from over two thousand miles away. She can look out her window if she wants to watch the aftermath. She watches the news instead, and realizes one very important thing: the Avengers have a bit of a PR problem. This is my favorite WIP at the moment. It's witty, interesting, and well-written with a fantastically witty Darcy.
d) Winter Bourne by tealmoon (Bourne trilogy, Jason/Nicky) - Jason owes a debt to Nicky. Trying to help her has exposed a threat by Blackbriar who wants them both. Sadly, this one is probably abandoned as it's been a long time since it's been updated, but it's still one of the best Bourne fics I've read. It's twisty and plotty and does a great job fleshing out the Bourne-verse. (via epistolic)
5) Other recs:
a) Men like us by jim1 (Bourne trilogy, Jason/Kirill) - A few months after "The Bourne Supremacy", Jason Bourne receives an unusual peace offering. I loved this quiet exploration of one possible future for Bourne and Kirill. (via epistolic)
b) People are the same today as they used to be by darthjamtart (Criminal Minds, gen, team!fic) - Captain Aaron Hotchner and his crew investigate crime on America’s space colonies. Or, Criminal Minds IN SPACE. Perfect team!fic is perfect! I adore this so much!
c) took a faithful leap by tosca1390 (Sailor Moon, Mamoru/Usagi) - In his relatively empty life, there are few moments and people that have stayed with him. She is one of them. Political!AU. Awesome and beautiful. This filled me with fond nostalgia.
6) And a meme I've seen bouncing around tumblr:
