It's been a very tiring week. Lots of huge work deadlines, not enough sleep. And my allergies are slowly turning me into a zombie. :p But fandom, as usual, is pretty darn awesome. ♥
1) Avengers threesomes and moresomes fic meme! And aliassmith is having an awkward!Hawkeye fest over here!
2) I watched the Hunger Games last weekend! Theater was crazy crowded since *every single person* was there to watch HG but we scored perfect seats and the movie was quite enjoyable. I thought it was a pretty good adaption and overall, a pretty good movie (Jennifer Lawrence rocked it, not that there was any doubt), but I wish they hadn't had to sanitize it because a lot of the emotional impact, the horror and dread and darkness, was dulled down, too. I also read the other books in the trilogy after I watched the movie and didn't really like them. :( But! I thought the characters were really interesting and would totally read Hunger Games fic in a heartbeat. And somehow I now ship Cato/Clove; this is all knowmydark's fault. Conclusion: if anyone has Hunger Games fic recs, please share! :)
3) I vaguely remember promising to put together an Ariadne/Arthur/Eames rec list; is anyone interested? I wanted to have a fic fest but since everyone is so busy, myself included, I don't think it would get off the ground. So maybe an A/A/E celebration post instead?
4) If you're like me and always trying to figure out the name of that one song played in the latest episode of [insert TV show here], Tune Find is a great resource.
5) Having a bad day and looking for something to make you laugh? Try reading this (sent to me by my beloved brain twin sirona_gs). I thought I was going to have a dick aneurysm fall over dead from laughing so hard. :D The scary part though? This is a four-starred book on Amazon. I wish I was kidding.

a) Cybernetic official unit for lawful security operations number 01 by jade_dragoness (Avengers, Clint/Coulson, PG) - The most popular rumor in SHIELD was that Agent Phil Coulson was created in a lab. The rumor was unproven. It was also true. MY HEART <3
b) as far as tales go, this one is cautionary by jada_jasmine (Hunger Games, Finnick/Johanna, Annie/Finnick, Gale/Johanna, R) - They never stood a chance. People say that makes this romantic. Gorgeous and painful and amazing.
c) On the care and feeding of superheroes, by Pepper Potts and Alvin Draper by galaxysoup (Marvel/DC, gen, PG) - Tony is a smart man, and whatever his critics might say (those haters) he does his research. When he becomes a superhero, and after Rick’s Comic Book Emporium has delivered all the necessary research materials, it becomes immediately apparent that he needs to make some serious changes. Or the one where Tony decides Pepper needs sidekick training. Nearly. Died. Laughing. XD
d) 76th & lexington by wldnst (Suits, Harvey/Mike, R) - harvey's bookshop isn't doing well, and he really doesn't need this right now. Notting Hill AU. I haven't finished reading this yet but it's wldnst, that guarantees the awesome.
e) Wilt thou exchange by twentysomething (Avengers, Steve/girl!Tony, PG13?) - The first time Steve meets Toni is about a week after he wakes up. I will probably never get tired of reading excellent "Steve adjusts" fics. This one is lovely, and I especially love this Darcy.
8) And lastly, a poll! Baby's first LJ poll, actually. You may have noticed my interest in JEREMY RENNER'S ass Marvel movie verse/Avengers fandom. I've had a few interesting conversations lately with friends in other fandoms, and now I'm kind of curious myself. What kinds of fics do you read, Avengers friends?
