I went to both days with two friends. It was super cold and windy on day one, and I felt that hyde's voice wasn't at its best. But he still sang "New World" really well, and I know it's a tough song for him.
On day two, the weather was a lot less cold and I think everyone, including the band and the audience, were feeling a lot more upbeat. Hyde flubbed the lyrics during "Driver's High" but it was super cute and funny. Both days were really good shows overall (the boys always deliver!), but considering my very first L'Arc concerts were the 20th anniversary ones at Ajinomoto, the 2014 Kokuritsu ones just weren't as epic, haha. The LED lights were a really nice touch though...totally worth the extra 1000 yen for the tickets ;P
The new song, "EVERLASTING," I personally found kind of bizarre. It has a bit of "forbidden lover" sound to it, which I'm also not a very big fan of. Then again, I didn't really like "XXX" the first time I heard it too, but it's grown on me a lot since its release. Oh, and the rearranged "Kasou" was the L'Acoustic version that was included on the CD of the Honolulu version of the 2012 Kokuritsu DVD.
saw a few videos from day 2 and I don't know if it's because of the recording or not but Hyde sounded not too good, is it really bad when he sang on day 2?
It wasn't Shibuya 7 Days bad, haha. He sang well enough for "BLESS" a capella both days, but he sounded like he was having a bit of trouble sustaining long notes. I thought he sounded better on the second day, honestly.
But I can understand why he wasn't at his best. The dry air in the winter/early spring in Japan really does a number on one's respiratory system. Maybe he should've kept his mouth covering on to increase the humidity in his throat :P
I guess most of the fans agree that Hyde sounds bad in Shibuya dvd hahaha.. I watched a few videos of their performance on day 2 (unfortunately no LV here :( ) and yeah his voice was kinda quivered (?) >.< he should wear thick clothes XD
