And this is why--

I need to move out.  Or, at least surround myself more with people who understand my obsessive nature.  It's not really 'obsession', more like extreme fascination.  Like, I know lots of silly little details about weird things I happen to pick up along the way and my brain, for whatever reason, stores them away.  For example, those very small ( Read more... )

I think it's cute that you remember all this stuff. And good, too. Also, I totally understand that you wanted to see 'everything'. I watch basically only documentaries and I wouldn't be able to count how many of those only about Titanic I saw. And I don't mind watching the same one a couple of times. Fortunately for me, I have my own TV, so I don't have to fight with anyone. I'm sorry they don't understand.

My mom thinks it's cute too, but to an extent.

YOU ARE SO LUCKY. I need my own TV, at the very least, a DVR or TiVo, I'm not picky. I'm pretty sure that having one would solve ALL THE PROBLEMS. I'm still trying to talk my mom into bullying our TV company to give us, the loyal almost 10 year customers, a free DVR since they're giving them out to the new guys for free anyway. Bastards.

Good news? I found the series of documentaries I really wanted to see on NatGeo/Youtube so now I just need to find the time to actually sit down and watch it :) Easier said than done ;)

I feel your pain!
Lost of remote channel = lost of power >__<

Instead of documentaries, I like to search the internet for any information on my current interest. (I don't have to fight for the remote control^^)

I know, right? I'm trying to convince my parents that a DVR will solve most of these problems. It's a work in progress.

That's one of the reasons I love the internet, but there are times I'm not sure I can trust the info I find on here. The documentaries I can trust about 80% of the time :) And sometimes I even find them on the internet, so win-win I guess, lol!
