Yeah, well, similar, but not the same
I was wondering about somebody I know and the size of their immediate family. I thought to ask them, "Now tell me again. How many siblings do you own?"
OWN? Am I on something? People don't own siblings. Okay, so you might be granted guardianship of a sibling, but still!!! HAVE and OWN. Their definitions are very similar, but not the same at all. They can't always be used interchangably (sp?).
I suppose one could get away with asking someone how many children they own. People are probably more inclined to claim ownership of children they are fully responsible for, but they still may look at you oddly before they answer. Really, sometimes I'm just so retarded.
Why in the world did I just now, out of the blue, get an INTENSE CRAVING for a complete homemade Thanksgiving meal? That makes absolutely NO SENSE!!!
