My family is scattered throughout the country, so technology has improved my relationships with siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. (I live a few miles away from parents, so it hasn't really impacted those relationships.) When I used to have to pay a lot or extra for long distance calls or even stamps, I'd have to budget all my money and time wisely. It was hard to reach people because our schedules wouldn't mesh to allow us to talk. There were a lot of mis-connections. That was frustrating. I missed out on a lot of their lives. Now I can keep up through texting, blogs, social networking sites, email, cell phones, you name it. I'm grateful for this amazing hobby technology has provided for me.
