The project begins
Today Hayley said to me, "we should have taken some before and after pictures". Well, too late for the before, but I will try to remember to bring a camera tomorrow so I can get some "during and after" pictures of the work we are doing on the house. Hayley has been a big help, she is really enjoying the painting. We have her room done and have started on Emma and the boys rooms. The floors are the biggest project. Thanks to my dad and Paul we have most of the carpeting ripped out and have had several people in to give price quotes on new flooring. Since I am insisting on hardwoods, we won't be able to do all of the floors right away, just the main living areas. We will be living with soft pine planks upstairs for awhile. My latest thought is to paint them with porch paint. Possibly do a little pattern for fun and put throw rugs up there.
