Summary: Felicity left when Walter told her it wasn't safe because she's smart like that.
“Mom? What’s so important that this couldn’t wait until I come to visit. It’s only going to be a few days.” Felicity tried to fold the pile of shirts with one hand since she couldn’t seem to balance the phone between her shoulder and her jaw without aid. “And I’m going to be there for a whole week. We’ll have plenty of time to talk.”
“Something’s strange.”
All she could do was roll her eyes. Her mother was always coming up with crazy ideas about why her daughter needed to move back to Starling City, as if Felicity could make any difference in the city. Besides, she knew nothing good was going on in the city. It was the reason she’d left in the first place. Walter told her things could get dangerous and she’d listened.
Her mother hadn’t. “It’s my home,” she insisted so Felicity had left her behind. Now, she wondered if that had been such a good thing.
“Mom-”
“It’s moving. The house is moving. Felicity, what’s going-”
And just like that, the phone went dead. There was nothing Felicity could do to stop the earthquakes that rocked Starling City.
