It was a strawberry sort of day

Today we went and picked strawberries at an actual strawberry farm (as opposed to harvesting the five we get each day from our own crop).

They definitely made some GREAT jam! While they weren't all as sweet as a strawberry that you find in the store, they have that unique taste that "real" strawberries have that adds something to stuff like jam.

Wow, four gallons of strawberries! You have so much more restraint than I do. I would've made myself sick eating at least one of those. LOL

They were so dirty that it was hard to think of eating one while picking them. I got DIRTY! But they were definitely good once we got them home!

I need to take more pics of her but she's getting smart about seeing cameras/cellphones.

LOL, I know what you mean about the dog - my sister has to put things in the wild patch of bushes behind a wire fence in her garden or the dogs rather than the wildlife get to eat it. What a beauty Spencer is though :D

Mom ripped up some bread to spread out for the birds right after I took the pictures... and Spencer went along behind her and ate it all. I don't think there was any left for the birds! *giggles*
