I've been "hoarding" my tax refund to see if I could keep my head above water this summer and be able to do three things... 1)license my car so that I'm legal again, 2)buy a new monitor and 3)do something fun.
For No. 3, I'm going to Phoenix with my sister in October. While we're there, we're going over to LA and spending a couple of days in Disneyland! Just getting out of town was good enough for me but I'll take it!
I'm just waiting for my lender to send proof of my title to the state for No. 1 so I just needed to make No. 2 a reality! Today, about lunchtime, I decided I needed a monitor... NOW. I'm like that. I like things now. Trouble is, I'm not in a good location for NOW to be a reality very often. In my small little town, I can't just walk over to Wal-Mart. The closest one is an hour away. Depressing, I know.
I don't normally get in my car on a work day and head down to Twin Falls but I wanted my monitor NOW so I decided I might as well. Besides... there are still school supplies available. *squees* I bought a fair amount of what they had available (I can never turn down a notebook) including a new backpack. It's PUR-TY! I also got some shirts and a few pairs of pants and some of those wonderful rolls I love so much.
*happy sigh*
Now I just need to get a Mac keyboard and update my OS and a new desk. Just a few more things on my list. My birthday is coming up so I'll have to make sure they get on the list.
