Arrived in Cape Town at around 10:10am on Saturday 5th June after a 12 hour flight on which there were no personal tv's. Meh! Thank goodness for an iPod with 2,700 tracks. Just as well as I couldn't sleep. My cousin was waiting for us and drove us the 20 mins or so to her place. After a light lunch of cold meats & cheeses, we spent the afternoon ( Read more... )

Last Thursday I was on an evening shift at work. My Training room faces west so all afternoon the setting Sun was shining in through the roman blinds. The opposite wall from the windows was noticably changing colour as time progressed. My broken tooth extraction is just over half an hour away. Luckily my Dentist Surgery in just 3 mins walk. So I still have time to prepare myself and think calm thoughts...

I woke up at around 6:30 this morning to a sunnier day here in London. It looked great weather outside till I stepped out through the front door at about 8:30. It was freezing as a chilly wind was blowing from the north. I snapped this great back-lit leaf just near to my bus stop...

The weather seems to be getting more unpredictable from morning till evening these days. Most of my shifts start around 9:30am so when I leave the house, it's with a woolly hat, scarf, gloves and a warm coat.
