Weekend and LJ News
We're off to Anglesey this afternoon - it's our friend Wil's exhibition opening night at the Gallery in Llangefni. He's a really good artist and all of his images are from local subjects, we have a few at home which we have bought over the years! Tonight's show is the result of about 3 or three years work - we have seen some WIP's on visits to his studio, but it's always good to see a good number together. Mum's coming, and hopefully she'll buy something, we won't be as we have run out of both wall space and money! There are a few more Manchester folk coming and we're all staying in a little hotel just down the road and I imaging that there's a supper arranged somewhere too.
We don't have plans for Saturday, but hopefully we'll go back to the studio which is on the north of the island - it's a really great place to take photos, as the place is full of so much stuff - Wil's an avid collector of all sorts of junk and especially stuff he finds on the beach! If the weathers okay, we would like to go to Parry's Mountain which is the remains of a massive copper mine and is stunning and looks like the surface of a far away planet and another fantastic place to take photos!
The new Userpic Factory feature is cool, if a little cumbersome, but it will certainly save time when making userpics from straight photos (i.e without text or buggering aboutage). The new top of the page toolbar thing is a good idea, but irritating as you would have to scroll back to the top of the page to use it, thus loosing your place......
