I don't want to be flippant, because the flu does kill many people and a pandemic would be a very. bad. thing. I am fully on board with not wanting to die of any type of flu, or just, you die in general.
I just hate the way the media is dealing with this whole thing. SARS had everyone all apocalyptical and a little over 750 people died. And I don't want to cheapen their deaths, but all things considered, that's quite a small amount. (and yes, I realize that SARS and swine flu are not the same thing, have different patterns, yadda yadda, but hey, anyone remember bird flu? the panic, the stress, the...lack of something to acually worry about?)
So Here's a helpful list of symptoms of the swine flu from the CDC:
*Fever
*Lethargy
*Lack of appetite
*Coughing
*Runny nose
*Sore throat
*Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Here's a list of normal flu symptoms from the CDC
* Fever (usually high)
* Headache
* Extreme tiredness (also known as lethargy, no?)
* Dry cough
* Sore throat
* Runny or stuffy nose
* Muscle aches
* Stomach symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
Also, the CDC would like you to know that "These symptoms are usually referred to as "flu-like symptoms." "
Wow. Really? The flu causes flu-like symptoms? A kind of flu has the exact same symptoms as...the flu? What has the world come to?
In conclusion, yes, we are all going to die. Just likely not from the swine flu.
