Bowling... or not
Well, I was supposed to go bowling tonight on a double date with Tom and our friends Cindy and Greg. We were supposed to go bowling in New Ark. Well, we make it all the way to the lanes, only to find out its league night and that they will not have any lanes open until probably 9:30. So we decided to head to Elkton lanes, where once there we found that this bowling alley was closed only on Tuesdays. finally conceding defeat and deciding that God just does not want us to bowl tonight, we head off to Dennys for dinner. Afterwards, we want to walk off the large meal we had at the elkton town park before grabbing some ice cream. Unfortunately, our bad luck followed us and there were little leaguers and soccer players all over the park. Undaunted, we trucked over to North East Town Park with Greg punning the whole way ("Guess we're just not in our 'league'"). They have such awesome playground equipment there!!! After amusing ourselves for about fifteen minutes, it got dark so we headed back to town for some ice cream before returning to Cindy's house. A grand adventure with many obstacles but it still turned out to be a fun night.
Just to let everyone know, I won't be home for five days starting tomorrow (well, later today as the case may be). I'm going up to Massachusetts to visit my Grandmother and to pick up my little brother from a two week program in Vermont. I'll be back on sunday if anyone wants to do something before I move in to college August 27!
