"The End"

Again with the creative titles. Just...ugh.

Anyway, I thought this episode was quite good. At the same time, I felt it was ultimately pointless - kinda like last episode - because EVERYone agreed that Past!Dean would never say yes to Michael. Future!Dean knew it, and so did Zachariah, yet they dragged him around the future anyway. That being said, there were a lot of things I loved - like Future!Cas, who was absolutely hilarious (but also extremely depressing) and the fact that Dean was the first person Sam called after he found out about being Lucifer's vessel. I was wondering, when Chuck showed up, is he still protected by an Archangel? It seems highly unlikely, seeing how they either left or just took Cas's powers, so does that imply they don't need his mad recording skillz? And I'm kinda surprised he's still alive without their protection.

Can we talk for a second about how awesome JPad was at being Lucifer? Hot damn, he was fantastic. I kept looking for hints and tics of Sam (kinda subconcsiouly, kinda nitpicky) and I really couldn't find any. And he just seemed so nice! He didn't seem about to rip out a little girl's intestines or anything....something you'd expect from a supposed embodiment of evil. If I had been totally unconflicted (which Dean wasn't, the devil was wearing his brother) I wouldn't thought twice about whether this guy was as evil as we all thought. Dean probably just got super pissed because Samifer had just killed his future self (not a pleasant site, I'm sure) and was chilling in his brother and trying to gain his sympathy.

Oh, and are we really supposed to believe the motherfucking COLT can kill the devil?! It's a gun. A 'special' gun. Just...no. And does anyone else wish they had told us why Sam said 'yes' to Lucifer, or is it going to be one of this season's mysteries? I also wish we had found out if Cas and the others had survived the frontal assault...it doesn't really matter, but whatever.

Next week: First crack episode. Paris Hilton may or may not ruin it.

Since that was kinda short, I'm going to ramble off about the first two episodes of Smallville...well the it's really just the second ep and half of the first one, since I thought it started at 9 instead of 8 and realized that about halfway through. Anyway, this show just had the shortest cliffhanger reversal I've ever seen in a show since House. Clark finished up last season declaring the end of his humanity, totally rejectin the Clark Kent identity as a whole. By the SECOND episode, he was back working at the Daily Planet, blah blah etc etc. Yes I know, it's all because he's madly in love with Lois, even so. It felt really stupid. I AM glad that they kept some semblance of continuity in the first episode, when Chloe was running around with the Legion flight ring and asking people about Lois being in the future...yay! That's exactly what they ring would've done. And it makes perfect sense that the Legion would've wiped her memory before she went back to her time. I doubt Smallville is ever going to confirm she ran into the Legion, especially based on those weirdass sex dreams she's been having.

And seeing how I missed most of the first episode - Zod and the other Kryptonian marines don't have powers, right? And that's why Earth hasn't been totally conquered yet? I really don't like this Zod. I think it's 'cause of his accent. And their costumes are just plain lazy! Really, SV, wife beaters and dog tags? From an alien planet?

Um, about Metallo...was it just me, or was Clark totally chill about completely killing him? Yes. He was a cyborg. But imagine if Clark had ripped out the metal heart of Vic Stone, he would've felt terrible! Like he had legitimately killed him! With Metallo, he was just like, "oh wait don't open the lid I made you....whoops. Oh well!" *goes to cuddle Lois* I feel like they tried a bit harder with this villain, since he was introduced last episode, and gave him a decent motivation and standard explanation for his craziness (kryptonite, duh), but it still felt a little shallow. And the fight scenes were atrocious. People don't get thrown that way! The angles they picked were just absolutely impossible.

I am intrigued, despite myself, about the body in the middle of the S symbol in the middle of wherever. It's probably Davis...and I totally made that up, since there haven't been any hints he's supposed to come back. Or maybe Kara? Thara Ak-var? Chris Kent? Kon-el? Alura Zor-el? Ursa? Non? It seemed male, but it was a satellite photo, so...Goddamnit, now I really want to know who it is.

supernatural, smallville
