I love Batman. So, I went to see the final installment of the Nolan trilogy and I was not disappointed. There were a few clunky parts in this movie, but the casting and overall story was superb. I have to give a special mention to Anne Hathaway as Catwoman because before I saw this film, I wasn't so sure about her. Oh, but she excelled. Having seen the first "second" Batman movie, which starred Michelle Pfeifer as Bruce Wayne's feline foe, I didn't think anyone might be able to top that, but Ms. Hathaway proved me wrong and I'm glad of it. Another fantastic casting choice was Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake. This character has a reveal at the end that is just perfect. And speaking of endings, the end of this film is AMAZING!!! With loads of good action and good drama all leading up to a stellar ending, this is easily the best film I've seen this year. All of the advertising says that "The Legend Ends," but it ended in such a way that felt like it lead to the beginning of a new chapter. Hmm? Here's for hoping there might just be one more Nolan/Batman movie to come. ;)
Final Analysis: A fantastic "ending" to a fantastic story.
