Sunday we hit a record 107˚ and yesterday and today aren't much better off. Supposedly it'll be 88˚ come Thursday which is nearly a 20˚ difference, but then it pops up towards 100 again, so I really don't know what the weather is doing.
I think I'm slightly heat exhausted today. Worked the Rockie gelding this morning and then went on a ride with Mom before coming home, cleaning up horses, mucking, taking a break for lunch, and mucking more until a little after 1.00, which is rather late in the summer heat. Just feeling a bit tired and slightly light-headed. Should probably drink some water.
Panda's belly is continuing to expand and we had my back cinch modified to accommodate the increased size. She's coming along quite well both in her pregnancy and with work. Definitely come December I'm going to stop taking her to Kim's, but I don't know for sure how much longer we'll do the training with her. She's in good shape and I'd like to keep her and the foal that way.
Lessons are still a bit slow, mostly due to the fact that it really hasn't settled down below 100˚ yet for the highs and most people don't really want to be out when it's over 100˚ so I wait and continue to scrape by.
Life is good though, still fussing with the county and really hoping it all gets sorted by the end of the year as it would be nice to have the new shade built and get the horses moved over. Mostly so Panda can settle in her new place before foaling in March.
C'mon weather, give us some cool air!
