Ich habe ein Pferd gefunden

Yesterday I was heading to Adrianne's to trim her Shire filly and I pull onto Mews and there is a grey horse standing in the middle of the road, wearing a fly mask.

"That's not right."

And the horse raised tail and cantered off. I followed behind, stopped when it went off on a side street and tried to follow, it went back on Mews and I hopped back in the truck. It tried to tuck into another spot and I pulled over again. There was a garbage can with some bailing twine sticking out of it. I told Adrianne I was chasing down a loose horse. I managed to catch it when it got distracted by two other horses, making a halter out of the bailing twine. Adrianne had said I could throw the horse in her empty stall. Katie, the part owner in the filly was there. I was about a half mile from Adrianne's place.

One of the local vets was driving down the road and I flagged them down and asked if they recognized it. We exchanged cards and I made it to Adrianne's. Katie drove me back to the truck and then the day proceeded as it should. Eila stood fairly well and I was able to get her done in about an hour.

I posted about the lost horse. Got one really interesting call from a lady who had an Arabian mare, big (for an Arab) and grey, white snip, but had a lump or scar by her right eye. It turned out to not be her mare. Poor lady, she had a "friend" who was taking care of the mare and had a nightmare about it the night before and the person who had the mare didn't respond and blocked her.

Adrianne found the owner and the mare was returned.

Today I just had Beverly in the morning and Zeke in the evening. I worked Jasper, got him on the sled. He was a bit backed off pulling with me on it, but he eventually relaxed with just the sled. I also worked with Halo, lunged her in the roundpen and then long lined in the small arena.
