Klein Wunder
Before I forget because I find it both significant and important. What happened with Paris was bad, but it could have been far worse. I thank God for all the little culminating miracles that meant I was able to get her back and safe and sound.
The little dollop of icing on the cake, however, involved my earbuds. When I hit the ground it knocked my right earbud out. I can't remember if I lost my hat before or after I fell, I know I dropped the whip, which ended up against the fence. I realized the right bud was missing when we hit Happy Rd., but I had other things to worry about. I got Paris back and unhooked and unharnessed and started leading her back. I thought, well, I'll just have a quick look and scanned the area.
It didn't take me more than two minutes to find the earbud. Perfectly fine except for a little dirt and still functioning. An additional prayer of gratitude as I picked it up and headed the rest of the way back home.
