Mr. Grant called earlier this week to let me know my film was in. I was three-quarters of the way there dropping by to wish Tarin Happy Birthday so I went ahead and picked it up. The slides turned out AWESOME. I just can't begin to say how much I love slide film. It makes prints look so boring. That said I do like how some of the print/negative film turned out. I had to check some of the negatives because a couple of the prints were cropped funny and I was thinking "I composed better than that!" but the 645 on the 120 film does a fairly rectangular image, which doesnvt jive well with a 4x5" print. Checking the negatives confirmed my suspicion of poor cropping on the printer's part. Something easily fixed when I scan the images myself.

Speaking of scanning I should probably start trying to get in a few frames a week. I made such good progress a couple years ago before Kelhan was born, but that has ground to a screeching halt and I keep adding more to the pile.... At least I got all of them in film sheets last time so I just have these two rolls to trim up!

So first two rolls out of the 645 are a success! I may take some quick snaps of the slides with my phone because who knows when I'll be able to digitally process them for real. Some day another copy of Photoshop, maybe just Elements. Still irritated about losing that when they wiped my computer trying to figure out what was wrong with it instead of actually listening to what I suggested it might be...
