I was ruminating, as you do, on the differences between Green Eggs & Ham by Dr Seuss and I Really Like Slop by Mo Willems and came to the conclusion that the moral of Green Eggs is "try it, you might like it" and the moral of Slop is "try it, you might hate it", and that is among the reasons why Slop is a better, not to mention morally superior, book.

(Other reasons why Slop is better: it's not as repetitive and is much less harrass-y)

(now if we could just change the Pigeon books to actually have a reason why the Pigeon is denied these things)

Bonus: Mo Willems being a large ham about slop
