Mai Otome 16 / Pale Coccon
That's right, its time for another edition of "I watched Anime rather then working tonight"!
Mai Otome 16
Once again I watched this episode in raw format without any real idea of what's going on. Its kind of obvious in where the plot is headed though after watching no more then 2 seconds of the new opening Crystal Energy. First thing out of the gate you see is Arika dressed in full Meisteir regalia, followed by her changing to full battle robe with the Mashiro-chan's permission and then changing view to the invading forces of Slaves about to overwhelm Windbloom.
Needless to say the entire opening is so full of spoilers after this, I don't want to ruin them for anyone, but I can say this (finally) about Mai-ZHime...
All the little girls are about to die. Either that or there's going to be one hell of a war! Either way, we're back to my first statement...

I've been holding off posting anything about this anime for a day or two now. Not because it wasn't an excellent anime (it was more then that), its the plot is one of those that just get to you in an odd way, and make you want to hide under your covers hoping the future never turns out like that.
One of the core parts of the plot is that it takes on hell of a twist at the end that you just can't expect, so I won't bother spoiling it for everyone.
But one thing I do want in the future is fully intergrated control panels / screen's, and e-books like the one's displayed in this anime. The first company to make a human interface that clean, easy to use, and flexable is going to make a killing in the market.
Watch this one if you haven't had the chance! Just remember to have a blanky ready.
